Lynne Graham  Sold For the Greek's Heir

This is the third book in the series about three sisters Polly, Ellie and Lucy.  Who are each given a ring from their mother after she had died.  This is Lucy's story, this is what I thought of the book.

This is the second book that I have read from this series for me I needed the book to be slightly longer so that Lucy's sister's could have been introduced into the story a lot better, they didn't come into the story until near the end of the book and felt a bit rushed and bit like a after thought.

But apart from that it was a good story.  Lucy and Jax have come from very complex messed up backgrounds.

Jax's father didn't come into his life until he was twenty-six and that was when his brother died from bungled mugging that went wrong, until then Jax was brought up by his actress mother who was also a drug addict.

Lucy was put into care when she three and she was then adopted and for a short while she had a proper family until her adopted parents then died in a car crash and then she was put back into care and then went to some foster family.

From here we then find out that Lucy and Jax had a very short affair that resulted in Lucy getting pregnant and she had a daughter called Bella.  I'm not going to reveal anymore because if I do then they would be too many spoilers.

For me I would have liked longer chapters to get to know the characters a lot better.   I would give the book 3.5/5

This book is released on June 1st and can be purchased at

Laurie Benson  An Unexpected Countess

Who knew that looking for a diamond could lead to love.

I loved this book from start to finish it made laugh at certain parts and also made me cry.   That is a sign for me that Laurie understands her characters and her readers.

In the beginning Hart and Sarah are on top of a very wet rooftop but for entirely different reasons, Hart is leaving Lady Hemlford's residence, and Sarah is breaking into a vacant house.  At this point Hart and Sarah are not aware that they are both looking for The Sancy Diamond.

Hart Has a lot of issues mainly he won't get close in relationships preferring married women to single women and that stems from when he was seven his mother fell from a cliff on their estate and was killed on the rocks below and when he ten his maternal grandmother died so he feels that if he gets too close then those people will be taken from him.

Sarah Is trying to help her family from being blackmailed from an unknown source and doesn't want her parents finding out that her brother Alexander was in the Navy died during the war, that he might have done something illegal. (As you will find out its someone Sarah knows).  Sarah also likes buying shoes even to the extent of sacrificing a brand new pair for her friend Katrina.

Lord Blackwood Is Hart's father and not a very nice one, lets put it this way he won't win any prizes for father of the year.  When Hart's mother died his father didn't want anything to do with him, he completely ignored him and whenever Hart became close to people then his father would take them away from him.

Including Hart's Fiancee Caroline who had an affair with his father and then when the affair was finished she was found dead at the bottom of the stairs and Hart suspected that Caroline could have been pregnant with his father's child.

Lord Blackwood tries to show some interest in Sarah, but what Lord Blackwood wasn't prepared for is that Sarah is nothing like Caroline and that Hart told his father in no uncertain terms to stay away from Sarah.  Which is where Hart finds out about his parentage which Lord Blackwood takes great delight in telling Hart.  (From this point I won't say anything more).

Both Hart and Sarah have a mutual friends The Duke and Duchess of Lyonsdale Julian and Katrina.  Katrina is occasionally helping Sarah look for the diamond and Julian is Harts best friend and he treats Julian like the brother he never had, and Julian helps Hart with the complex relationship with his father.

From this point I won't go into too much detail but please look out for Lady Everill and her bracelet, and also the Prince Regent.

I loved the twists and turns of the book.  I can highly recommend this book a must read.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is released on June 1st and can be purchased at.

Janice Preston  Cinderella and the Duke

I won this book way back in February at the Galentine's giveaway at The Unlaced Book Club.  This is the first book that I have read by Janice and it definitely won't be the last.

I loved this book so much that I didn't want it to end.

Rosalind does like the aristocracy, she has some bad memories (that's more to do with her mother's family), and tries to avoid them, that is until she meets Leo Boyton (I will tell you more of him later).

Rosalind or Ros has brought up her brother Freddie, and their step-sister Helena or Nell and step-brother Jack who is now known as Lord Lydney, Jack is away at school.  Freddie who was injured in carriage accident when Ros was 6 which was her birthday and her grandpa had made her a locket which she wears all the time, and Jack was 1, and their mother then married Lord Lydney, then when their mother died Ros took over the up bringing of Freddie, Nell and Jack and she has done this for the past 14 years and their is nothing that Ros won't do for her family and sometimes that can be a hindrance.

But when their step-father died his brother Sir Peter Tadlow was now the guardian of Ros and lets just say things don't go as they should have done. Ros and Freddie, (Ros is now going under a different name of Mrs Pryce who is a widow), have moved to a cottage on the Foxbourne Estate which is owned by Sir William Rockbeare (who is a friend of Ros's step-father).

Ros and Freddie have got Nell to London and into the care of Nell's aunt Lady Glenlochrie, just so Sir Peter can't marry Nell to Viscount Bulbridge.

Now we meet Mr Boyton or Leo Alexander Beauchamp Sixth Duke of Cheriton, Leo is a widower and the head of a large extended family, his sister Cecily has been helping Leo bring up his three children since their mother was killed, Dominic the eldest, Alexander and Olivia the youngest.  Leo comes across as arrogant but underneath he does have a soft heart, also like Ros he puts his family first.

I won't go into to much detail from here, but lets just say Leo pushes and challenges Ros, especially when Leo and Ros help a little girl named Susie and there is a difference in how Leo and Ros want to bring up Susie, that's mainly because Ros feels that she is loosing her family and she doesn't has a purpose and she fights Leo right up until the end.

There is also Leo's cousin Mr Anthony Lascelles, who is not a very nice man.  Leo and his brother Vernon and Richard Lord Stanton are staying at Anthony estate, because Richard is looking for ponies for his wife Felicity.   For reasons that become apparent Leo and Anthony don't get on, and that really shows further on in the book.

As I've said before I loved this book and it also made me cry, especially the end when Leo does something for Ros.  I'm not telling you what that is you will just have to read the book.

This book is a absolute must read and comes highly recommended.

I give this book 5/5 if I could I would give it more.

This book is released on July 1 and can be purchased from

Elisabeth Hobbes The Saxon Outlaw's Revenge

Normally medieval romances aren't my type of book, I normally read either Regency or Victorian romances.  I'm not going to lie but it did take me awhile to get into the book, that hasn't got anything to do with the author or how the book was written but mainly the fact it wasn't set in the romance genre that I prefer.

Once I got into the book I loved it.  This story is dark and compelling and that both characters have to face some traumatic times ahead of them.

The question that you want to is can love conquer revenge.  For that answer you will just have to read the book.

I would highly recommend this book and give it 5/5

Carole Mortimer  Wicked Torment (Regency Sinners) Book 1

If you like hot regency romances, then this book is for you.  I just adored it from start to finish.

This is the first book in Carole's new series and it is certainly WICKED and VERY VERY HOT.

These are a group of eight men who have been orphaned and came together when they were at school and have remained friends ever since.

I won't be talking about the story but the characters, because otherwise they would be a lot of spoilers.

Lady Beatrix Hanwell, or Bea. Is a widow who had a very unhappy marriage, she was married when she was young and her husband was a lot older than herself and he was violent towards her leaving her with scars on her back.  Bea doesn't have any experience when it comes to making love.  Well lets put it this way she soon does.  Her staff are very loyal and they and Bea have a secret.  (All will be revealed).

Darius Strong The Duke of Wolferton or Wolf.  Well what can I tell you about Darius he is gorgeous, muscular in all the right places, he always wears black shirts with black cravats and he certainly fills a pair of breeches and he also has long hair.  (Not keen on long hair but I can forgive him for that).  He is a man that once he sees something that he wants he goes and gets it, and he wants Bea.  But underneath all that muscular manliness he wants love and he hopes to get that with Bea.  (Except for the secret).  Also because Darius is very particular how he dresses he has to dress a certain way for dinner which he isn't happy about.

They're is also a great relationship with Darius and his valet Quinlan, he is funny, he has been with Darius for a number of years and is very loyal to him and he is also honest with Darius.  Quinlan falls in love with Bea's butler. (and is also is helping Darius with the secret).

For me this book was a fantastic read and may not be everybody's cup of tea.

I would give this book 5/5, for me this comes highly recommended.

I am so looking forward to the next book in the series which is:  Wicked Surrender Regency Sinners 2, this is were we meet Dante St Just, The Duke of Huntley.  Can't wait to meet him.  This book is released on 30 June.

Both of these books can be purchased at

Katherine Garbera  Beyond the Limits

Its being a very long time since I read a Blaze, I had forgotten how spicy they were.  This one is HOT VERY VERY HOT.

This book is about two astronauts who are competing for the CRONUS mission, they want to be named to a crew they know will be going to space.  Because they know that despite all of the training, not all astronauts make it into a final mission to space.

Who knew a gym could get spicy, well in Izzy's and Antonio case very spicy.

Isabelle Wolsten or Izzy, has worked very hard to get were she is now and also with the help of her mother who worked a few jobs to get Izzy into the right schools.  Izzy had got to the academy on merit.

Antonio Curzon is from a moneyed background, he and Izzy knew each other eight years ago in the candidate training class, he then left NASA and gone into the Private Sector to join Space Now a company owned by a billionaire who was innovating outside of NASA.

I would recommend this book and if all Blaze books are like this one, then I will definitely be reading more of them.

I would give this book 5/5
